Spring Break... Sorta

So wow… Spring break seems like it was so long ago and the end of school is near. Busy has been the word for these last few weeks. I just completed three major assignments with a number on the way still. Enough about that, lets look at the fun things in life.

So when I was down for spring break Jamie and I had a chance to go visit two different wedding locations. Let me just say it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. The first place was called Ivy House and it is located in Inglewood. More information and pictures can be found at http://www.wedding-locations.com/locations.htm.

Jamie and I fell in love with the place because of the pictures. They are gorgeous. So we set out and left San Diego early and headed out to LA. So from the outside it wasn't bad but parking is definitely an issue. Then there is the fact that it is in the direct flight path of LAX. Well, lets just say I counted like 13 planes fly over in the hour that we were there. It definitely was a good experience and very beautiful but I don't think it is the place for us.

So lets just say the next place didn't sound good at first. Maybe I just have this prejudice but Fallbrook is just not a place is see as a place I wanted my wedding. Lets just say that I was sooooo wrong. Right off of the 15 there is a place that is called Pala Mesa Resort, it is gorgeous. There is just so much to say about this place. The scenery is gorgeous. Where the ceremony would actually be held there is a waterfall behind it and an amazing replacement for the average gazebo. There is this bell that someone rings after you get married. Then there is the staircase that the bride comes up as she prepares to walk down the aisle. Lets just say it has to be gorgeous. By the way, it is fully handicap accessible to the point that for our older guests they will have a golf cart take them to their seats. And, yes Dad, you can ride in the golf cart. I haven’t even mentioned the reception area. The reception takes place in, what I like to call, a quasi-outdoor environment. It is hard to explain it in a way that doesn’t take away from how cool it is. Lets just say that if we get married there, we would have an actual waterfall behind our table and it is just gorgeous.
More info about Pala Mesa can be found at http://www.palamesa.com.

Beyond that spring break had some other events that made it fun… My mom and brothers came down to see UCSD and I took them on a tour while Jamie worked. Then there was the joy of the beach. Jamie took me down to the Scripps Institute for Oceanography for lunch. It was a gorgeous view and a great lunch. Well it is time for me to get some work done…
