The Wedding

Let me just say the wedding was amazing. It is great to see Karie and Dad married. There were a few minor complications with the minister who, in my opinion, did not belong doing weddings. His inabillity to get Karie's name right even after being told like three times was discusting. Other than that the ceremony went well. Grandpa was hilarious, he added a little bit of humor that just made it more enjoyable.

So as I sit here and look back at the ceremony, the symbolism that existed was amazing. The first of which had to be explained to me. So my dad had "My Three Sons" played as my brothers and I walked down the aisle. Then there was the whole thing with us coming up with Karie and Dad. That was amazing. I knew we were important to the two of them but to have it shown like it was to the world was great.

We then crammed into the limo and drove around the block a few times. The limo was cool. It was a stretch Excusion... It doesn't get much better than that. We then went back and took pictures. The photographer was different, but not bad at all. I would have liked to have seen more posing but what do I know? I am excited to see what the pictures turned out like.

Then came the reception. It was a blast. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice. My dad and Karie looked happy. I guess that is really all I cared about. Alex was out to do some major dancing and Nicholas well, he was Nicholas, and I enjoyed seeing some faces from way back when.

Having Jamie there with me made all the difference. I enjoyed her company and the warmth that she provided. She truly was my better half and kept me smiling. As the night went on my body really began to ache and she was there right by my side keeping me going and as I said before smiling. She was my person to talk and made the little bit of stress go away.

It was great to see a few faces I haven't seen in a while too. I enjoyed seeing the people that made childhood interesting to the familiar faces from Dad's work when we were kids.

Overall I enjoyed the wedding and I am happy for Mom and Dad. It is great to have it official and to be able to reffer to Karie as my Mom. Who needs the step part anyway?
